2009 Line Up OK, I have been in recent years, but this is because the lineup sucked so badly. Now I could chose a much better line up, now there is so much talk about a band not getting enough money to play download so they don't, now if it was me I'd do it for the fact that its download. No-one has been signed up to perform at download 2009, but I think they should get some smaller bands who play kick ass metal. Personally I want Falconer to play, Turisas to play and so many other bands, but I'm guessing none of these bands will. so well I was just wondering what everyone thinks should be next years line-up.

Festival Awards 08 site a note on the organization of the site. There appears to be no way to view just each category from a main page. A little awkward. No way to change your vote. (Should be possible if you are logged in.) And one clicks on the fest or artist you may wish to vote for and you get a screen but without the list of the nominations that fest is up for, nor why. And the categories are definitely skewed: why no folk or roots act category? While dance, pop, rock, urban, etc are singled out. Why no 'foreign act' category? I mean if you will have a separate category for toilets....!? Nor camping or accomodations category? Nor 'best dealing with emergencies/unforeseen circumstances'? Or site planning? (Why some sites con't to run on flood plains puzzles me...) Who picked the act nominees? Why no Leonard Cohen?????????? Or Plant & Krauss?

Dissertation survey on festivals - please help! Hi everyone! I'm doing my dissertation on music festivals, and it would be a HUGE help to me if some of you could answer my questionnaire. It just asks about your music taste, and the reasons why you go to festivals. I'm really interested in the atmosphere at festivals... I found everyone so friendly at Glastonbury, and ended up chatting to a load of people, and I wouldn't necessarily do that in another context.. but maybe that's just because I'm a Londoner! It shouldn't take too long at all, but obviously the more detail you give in your answers the better it is for me! http://www.eSurveysPro.com/Survey.aspx?id=51ff1244-a27f-4e61-b1a7-0be5f1a2d6de Thanks x
