Help Make Poverty History at Lovebox

"If we want to do something about poverty we don't just need money, we need pressure," says Benny Littlejohn,
who is coordinating Oxfam's presence at festivals this year. "That's why at Lovebox we're gathering support for Make Poverty
History." Make Poverty History is the global campaign calling on world leaders to tackle the underlying causes of poverty
by delivering three things: trade justice, debt cancellation and more and better aid. "Following the G8 summit earlier this month, some progress has been made on debt and aid, but so much more needs to
be done," says Benny. "Find one of the Oxfam campaigners and add your support to the campaign. And remember to wear your Make
Poverty History white band." Oxfam will reporting live with pics from Lovebox this weekend - find out more on Oxfam's website Generation Why: www.oxfam.org.uk/generationwhy. What is Oxfam?
Oxfam believes that in a world rich in resources, poverty is an injustice that must
and can be overcome. We're a development, relief, and campaigning organisation that works with others to find lasting solutions
to poverty and suffering around the world. Find out more at www.oxfam.org.uk/generationwhy.
