I’m a lesbian and have been a Leicester city season ticket holder since I was 7 but this behavior completely disgusts me. I love my club and am thankful that this was a minority and was dealt with appropriately. I hope those fans accountable never get to watch another LCFC game live again and are appropriately charged.
This is not the majority of Leicester city fans and it is a club with a history of winning awards for being family friendly and inclusive. I actually sit in the KOP so away from the away fans but took a photo of the Foxes Pride banner which was hanging at the back of our stand (next to numerous other banners), a banner I’d not seen before but felt proud that the club and fans were supporting it.
I think more needs to be done to reduce homophobia in football, much like the anti-racism campaigns. I have been to other away grounds and heard homophobic chants / slang used, not specifically directly at myself but it’s shouldn’t be part of football. A small minority of fans ruin the experience for others.
It upsets me that any fan may not feel welcome at the king power stadium, it’s such an electric place to watch football and everyone should feel safe and welcome there…. but hopefully not leaving with 3 points 😉

I know it’s awful that this has happened but I think it’s a step in the right direction that it’s been publicly condemned
