The January slump is over and we’re here to kickstart your February in the best possible way. With a whopping 48 names added to the Download 2017 line up, we’re well and truly spoiling you. Joining our headliners, Aerosmith, Biffy Clyro and System Of A Down are a whole host of the best names in rock and metal, so let’s get cracking.
Following their sold-out Wembley show last week, A Day To Remember will be bringing the party to Donington’s Main Stage.
Making their last ever UK festival appearance are the pioneers of their genre, The Dillinger Escape Plan. Known for pushing musical boundaries for 20 years – you’d be daft to miss their set. Joining the already epic #DL2017 line up are the fathers of cross-over thrash, Suicidal Tendencies, rising horror-punk stars, Creeper and the Grammy-nominated Baroness.
Ready to dish our their muscular alternative metal to the DL family are the ever-evolving Anathema. We’re also excited to be welcoming a band who have toured the planet countless times, In Flames will be performing their melodic death-metal to the crowds.
Still with us? We told you this was a huge announcement. Returning for the first time in 12 years for the ultimate zombie themed, horror-punk performance is the legend known as Joseph Pool aka Wednesday 13.
Pirate metallers Alestorm will be sailing down to Download 2017 and bringing with them the Nordic hard rockers Kvelertak. The Charm The Fury are set to take the crowd on a ride of crushingly heavy breakdowns and high-energy monstrous anthems this June.
Having instilled themselves as one of the most exciting acts to emerge in the metalcore genre, expect Northlane to amaze with their groove laden technical skills. Straight out of Ohio, The Devil Wears Prada return to Download with their incomparable powerful sound. Hackvist is also set to rage #DL2017 with their fiery, genre-melding anthems.
With their infectious party vibes, State Champs are ready to rock Donington Park, whilst Trash Boat will provide even more amped-up fast paced punk bangers. One of the hottest names in pop punk, As It Is crash on to our brand new Avalanche Stage.

Also setting foot on our Avalanche Stage will be the emo revivalists, Moose Blood and pro-wrestler turned pop punk outfit, Junior.

Swedish alt-rock act Normandie bring their soaring and hugely ambitious sound while the London activists, The King Blues reunite for their anthems, ‘Save The World + Get The Girl’. Having captured the hearts and minds of the rock world, Touché Amore will blend their serrated guitar leads and impassioned screams at the spiritual home of rock. Alongside our already insane line up, the uplifting and hard-hitting Southern rock sound of The Cadillac Three will be penetrating your ears. Bringing the BOUNCE to #DL2017 are the thrash crossover unit, Grove Street Families.
And. That’s. Not. All. Making their Download return, The Lounge Kittens’ unique jazzy spin on metal’s biggest hits is going to sound off the charts. Aaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics will stun audiences with their show-stopping vocals. Leeds three-piece Dinosaur Pile-Up will shake things up with their grunge-tinged melodies, while Bristol newcomers IDLES are set to unleash a torrent of brash post-punk at their debut Download appearance.
Sure to deliver an explosive set are The Contortionist and the London black metallers She Must Burn. Venom Prison’s mix of death and doom metal and the effervescent rock ‘n’ roll of Fizzy Blood will see Donington Park’s circle pits bigger than ever before.
London-based M O S E S will have fans revved up, as will the chunky riffs and stadium-sized choruses of Stone Broken and one of the hottest modern metal bands, Brutai.
Also joining us for the biggest and most epic weekend in rock and metal are The LaFontaines, Holding Absence, Dead Label, Like A Storm, Devilskin, Blood Youth, I The Mighty, Dead!, Sabaton, Casey, Red Sun Rising and Wallflower.
